May 30 and 31, 2013 - UPSCALE SALE

The Upscale Sale, originated by Ferden Chapter, is another Spokane Symphony Associates' resounding success! Taking place the first weekend in June ,donated items from individuals and estates have added up to a fundraiser that has grown year after year.  The profit from 2012 stands at $26,000!

Ferden Chapter wishes to thank all SSA members and friends who donated items and volunteered their time, most especially Carol Worthington-Borodin, for without her expertise and talent, this sale would not happen.   We thank our major sponsors for this year's sale:  Albert & Valerie Hughes, Carol Worthington & David Borodin, Bekins Moving and Storage & Bob Charbonneau, and Scott and Frank Thompson.

We are already thinking of the 2013 sale and invite all SSA members to begin saving upscale items and treasures. We have pickup and storage available for large items such as desks, dining sets, sofas and dressers.  Let us bring boxes to you to fill and call us when they are ready.  Your contributions make a BIG difference.

Nov./Dec. 2013 - CHRISTMAS TREE ELEGANCE

Christmas Tree Elegance, which celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2012, is SSA’s largest fundraiser of the year. It is a raffle of 12-18 custom-decorated themed trees, each with cash and gifts worth up to $5,000, most donated by businesses and individuals in the community. Raffle tickets cost only $1 each. Winners take home the whole prize package: decorated tree, cash and gifts. CTE typically begins mid-week following Thanksgiving and lasts 12 days. Twelve tree/prize packages are on the mezzanine of The Davenport Hotel. In addition, there are often special events during the run of CTE: musical performances, luncheons and more. Check back in the coming months for more specific details.
