Soirée on The Edge is our scenic summer outing with two unforgettable evenings of sights, sips and sounds. Enjoy a perfect evening in early August listening to the Spokane Symphony under the baton of Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara while taking in the stunning views of the city. Bring a picnic or purchase food onsite, and savor the summer sunset. Award-winning Arbor Crest wines will be available for purchase and the White House Grill will have their Garlic Mobile Truck on hand (Cash and check only). Ages 21 and over.
The program is the perfect blend of classics by musical giants and music from living composers. The program begins with an Overture from Mozart and concludes with Beethoven's First Symphony. In between, concertgoers will be treated to works by American composer Caroline Shaw, the youngest-ever winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Music, and by Akira Nishimura, an award-winning Japanese composer.
