PROGRAMS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

fourth grade concerts

The Spokane Symphony invites all 4th graders in the Spokane region and all 4th/5th graders in northern Idaho to their Fourth Grade Concerts, a 50-60 minute interactive concert, entitled History Through Music, that explores the evolution of music over the years, while introducing the instruments and their unique sounds. Each programs provides school curriculum and includes pre-concert classroom activities.

LINK UP - A PROGRAM FOR GRADES 3-5 

This comprehensive program from the Weill Music Institute of Carnegie Hall provides instructional materials for students and teachers to learn to play recorder, plus other music concepts, and concludes with a performance with the orchestra at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

music innovates

By partnering with the Spokane Public Schools, Music Innovates provides over 100 underserved students hands-on classical music instruction and coaching from Spokane Symphony musicians.

SEED - Symphony Ensembles for Education

Schools have the opportunity to interact with Symphony ensembles, representing the instrument families of the orchestra, for an up-close, intimate exposure to music and the instruments.
