Upcoming events for the Spokane Symphony and Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox through the end of August 2017 include: 

Fox Presents: Melissa Etheridge — M.E. Live ● August 4

Fox Presents Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge on Friday, August 4 at 8 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Etheridge has remained one of America’s favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades. Tickets start at $48. DETAILS

Spokane Symphony: Soiree on the Edge No. 1 ● August 9

The Spokane Symphony, under the baton of Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara, will perform on August 9th at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Cliff House grounds of Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. The program features music by Mozart, Caroline Shaw, Akira Nishimura, and concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. Audience members are encouraged to bring a picnic, and food and wine will be available for purchase, (no outside alcohol). This concert is sponsored by the Heaton family. Ages 21 and over. A second Soiree on the Edge is on August 23. Tickets start at $20 per concert or $30 for both. DETAILS 

Rodrigo Y Gabriela, 10th Anniversary Tour ● August 11

Fox Presents internationally acclaimed Mexican acoustic rock guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela, bringing their unique instrumental blend of metal, jazz and world music to Spokane. Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero have been performing together all over the world for more than 15 years. Tickets start at $29.50. DETAILS

Fox Presents: Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue ● August 13

Fox Presents Trombone Shorty, jazz performer from New Orleans, and his band, Orleans Avenue, in concert on Sunday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. He’ll feature music from his newest album, Parking Lot Symphony, which captures the spirit and the essence of the Big Easy while redefining its sound, plus selections of 70s funk, rock, hip-hop and R&B. Tickets start at $40. DETAILS 

Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home “Love and Comedy” Tour ● August 16

This live performance on August 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater features Garrison Keillor celebrating his 75th birthday year, along with Prairie Home Companion favorites, Richard Dworsky & The Roadhounds, Aoife O’Donovan and Fred Newman. The show will be two-plus hours of stories, love song duets, Guy Noir routines, cowboys, poetic outbursts, and more songs. Tickets start at $49.50.  DETAILS

Spokane Symphony: Soiree on the Edge at Arbor Crest No. 2 ● August 23

Resident Conductor Morihiko Nakahara conducts the Spokane Symphony on August 23rd at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Cliff House grounds of Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. The program features music by Stravinsky, Andy Akiho, Christopher Theofanidis, and concludes with Dvorak’s Czech Suite. COMING UP IN SEPTEMBER – LABOR DAY CONCERTS IN THE PARKS

Spokane Symphony Labor Day Weekend Concerts in the Parks ● September 2 & 4

Spokane says farewell to summer in spectacular fashion each year at our Labor Day Weekend concerts in the parks. These FREE concerts, conducter by Music Director Eckart Preu, are a not-to-be-missed tradition for many residents of our region. The first performance will be held at Pavillion Park in Liberty Lake on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. It is sponsored by Friends of Pavillion Park and the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Northern Quest Resort & Casino. DETAILS

On Labor Day, the Spokane Symphony will perform at  Comstock Park on Spokane’s South Hill on Monday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m.  The concert will be preceded by the Spokane Folklore Society’s Fall Arts Preview, featuring the Symphony’s popular Instrument Petting Zoo. It is sponsored by Umpqua Bank, and the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Northern Quest Resort & Casino. DETAILS
