Spokane Symphony SuperPops 6: The Fab Four

Relive the days of Beatlemania! Emmy Award-winning Beatles tribute band, The Fab Four, will perform the Beatles' timeless hits with the Spokane Symphony, conducted by Morihiko Nakahara on Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. The Fab Four has made a name for itself as the best Beatles Tribute Band around, playing note-for-note renditions of Beatles' songs that are so precise it feels like you're watching the real thing. This concert is sponsored by Frank Knott, by Dr. Francisco R. and Mary J. Velazquez, and by Tony and Mary Lou Bonanzino. DETAILS  

Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra with Alon Goldstein 

Kevin Hekmatpanah conducts the Gonzaga Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No.1 with pianist Alon Goldstein on Monday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. The program also includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 3. Tickets for general admission seating are $14; $10 for seniors and students with I.D. DETAILS  

Washington State University Pharmacy Commencement Ceremony

WSU’s College of Pharmacy will be holding their 2017 Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 4 at 1 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Contact the College of Pharmacy for further details.  

Spokane Symphony Classics: The Power of the Human Voice 

The Spokane Symphony, under the baton of Music Director Eckart Preu, perform two fabulous choral works –  Vaughn-Williams’ transcendent Serenade to Music and Verdi’s monumental Requiem – on Saturday, May 6 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. The performance will feature Elizabeth Caballero, soprano; Theresa Buchholz, mezzo; Adam Diege, tenor; Mark Walters, bass; and the combined voices of three choirs. A pre-concert talk about the music will be held in the hall one hour before each performance. This concert is sponsored by Billie Severtsen. DETAILS  

Spokane Symphony Chamber Soirée: May Celebration

Ensembles from the Spokane Symphony will delight with a selection of chamber music, including music for brass and percussion by Daniel Bukvich, a horn quintet by Mozart, and a string sextet by Tchaikovsky. Two performances are held at 7:30 p.m. at The Historic Davenport Hotel on Tuesday, May 9 and on Wednesday, May 10. This concert is sponsored Richard Trudell and Nancy Morrison, PhD and by Leonard & Helen Byrne.  DETAILS  

Life Services: An Evening with Bob Goff 

Life Services is hosting an evening with Bob Goff, New York Times bestselling author of Love Does on Thursday, May 11 at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Doors open at 6 p.m. for gourmet coffee and desserts, and the program begins at 7 p.m. DETAILS  

Spokane Symphony Performs Windborne’s The Music Of Led Zeppelin 

The Spokane Symphony will bridge the gulf between rock n’ roll and classical music performing the music of Led Zeppelin on Friday, May 12 at 8 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Amplified by a full rock band and accompanied by singer Randy Jackson’s screaming vocals, creator Brent Havens guest conducts the ensemble as they capture Led Zeppelin’s “sheer blast and power,” riff for riff while churning out new musical colors. Whitworth Choir: Spring Concert Tour Bon Voyage

The Whitworth Choir begins its upcoming 2017 Spain Concert Tour on Saturday, May 13 at 8 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Selections include Renaissance works by Palestrina and Victoria, the Kyrie and Gloria from Marc A. Hafsø's "Missa Pacem," as well as, American folk songs, Spirituals, and Spanish songs. Ticket prices for general admission seating are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors; students admitted FREE with school I.D. DETAILS  

Musicfest Northwest: Young Artist Concert

Young musicians on the verge of promising careers will perform solo with The Spokane Symphony and Musical Director Eckart Preu on Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. The concert features Brass, Flute, Guitar, Piano, Reed, String and Voice Division winners of the Young Artist Section of Musicfest Northwest held at Gonzaga University earlier in the week. Musicfest Northwest: Festival Highlights Concert

Experience some of the best instrumental, vocal and dance performances from Musicfest Northwest's weeklong festival on Friday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Adjudicators from nine Musicfest divisions choose their favorite performers to be highlighted in this special concert. Admission is free. DETAILS  

Spokane Youth Symphony: Insights

The 2017 SYS Concerto Competition Winners will be featured in concert with the Spokane Youth Symphony on Sunday, May 21 at 4 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. In addition, Weber's Der Freischutz Overture will be performed by the Spokane Youth Philharmonic, Spokane Youth Sinfonietta and Spokane Youth Strings. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $12 for youth 17 and under. DETAILS

Sandra Olgard’s Studio of Dance Presents: “Frozen Heart”

Sandra Olgard's Studio of Dance presents an original children's ballet, 'Frozen Heart' on Monday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. It blends the familiarity of Frozen, with a hint of Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen, telling the story of Anna and Elsa's sisterly love over-riding the evil Queen Greta. Admission is free.
