All 4th/5th graders in northern Idaho are invited to attend this 45 minute interactive concert which introduces the instruments and their unique sounds. Programs were designed to correlate to school curriculum. Each program includes pre-concert classroom activities, developed in collaboration with local public school teachers with government mandated learning standards. The concert includes a sing-along, a piano soloist, and the chance for a lucky winner to conduct the orchestra! Students must be nominated and winners will be notified.

Here is a video about Fourth/Fifth Grade Concert posted by the Spokane Public Schools:
"Thank you for doing such a beautiful job with the 4th grade symphony concert! The students were very engaged and loved the music. I enjoyed the stories and information you shared about each piece - that really helps students to have a better understanding of the music they are listening to. Your love for music and for sharing with young people is a blessing to our community. Thanks to you and to all the wonderful and amazing symphony musicians!" — Carol Pederson, SPS Visual & Performing Arts Coordinator
My daughter's 4th grade class attended yesterday’s symphony performance at the Fox Theater. Thank you so much for a very cool and educational experience. The selection of music performed for the kids could not have been more exciting and appropriate. Kudos to a wonderful program that does such a successful job of introducing students to a realm of music that most have not experienced. Conductor Uzcátegui truly connected with a music hall full of 9 and 10 years, which isn’t always an easy feat. — Parent
