Ryan Dresen, a Montana native, is the Assistant Principal Horn of the Spokane Symphony. He is a current undergraduate student at Whitworth University where he studies horn performance with Jennifer Scriggins-Brummett.
He has performed near and far in places such as Carnegie Hall, the Pacific Northwest, and recently, Italy.
Ryan first performed with the Spokane Symphony as a guest soloist upon winning the Music-Fest Northwest Young Artist brass division in 2018. He is active as principal horn in the Whitworth Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Winds. He serves as the president of the wind symphony, and keeps busy with his studies as well. In his free time, he enjoys making coffee, exploring Spokane, and travelling.
