SPOKANE SYMPHONY CLASSICS SERIES

Join us for the 2018-19 Classics Series as we celebrate our beloved Maestro Eckart Preu’s last season! The classics programing will include some of Preu’s personal favorites, including the performance the symphony’s concertmaster, Mateusz Wolski, whom Preu as described as one of the world’s best violinists. This season, you will also experience concerts conducted by each of the five Music Director finalists. Morihiko Nakahara conducted celebrated violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn, owner of the legendary 1720 Red Violin, performing “Chaconne” from the film, The Red Violin, in Oct. 2018. The remaining finalists include: James Lowe conducting works by Liszt and Brahms in Feb. 2019; Rei Hotoda conducting works by Korngold and Shostakovich in March 2019; Arthur Arnold conducting works by Saint-Saëns and Bartók in March 2019; and Jayce Ogren conducting works by Prokofiev and Mussorgsky in April 2019. The series concludes with Eckart’s farewell concert featuring Richard Strauss’ monumental Alpine Symphony. This is a season you won’t want to miss! SPOKANE SYMPHONY POPS SERIES 

You’ll want to secure your seats and save up to 25% on this fantastic lineup of exciting performers in concert with the Spokane Symphony. The season includes perennial favorite, Pink Martini, returning for a dazzling tour through classical, jazz and golden-era pop music, accompanied by our orchestra.  Subscribers will also enjoy ABBA: The Concert, recreating the music of Sweden’s pop superstars; the delightful yuletide sounds of the Holiday Pops; the hits of the legendary Billy Joel, sung by Michael Cavanaugh, star of the Joel’s Broadway smash hit, Movin’ Out, and the award-winning master of traditional Irish music, Seamus Egan, in the Seamus Egan Project. SPOKANE SYMPHONY THE M SHOW SERIES

Join in the fun with Mateusz Wolski, Spokane Symphony’s ever curious concertmaster, with an ensemble of musicians. Enjoy familiar works from classical and pop along with threads of comedy and film. Saturday — At the Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ 
Sunday — In the Spokane Valley Church of The Nazarene

Relish some of the best-loved works from the Baroque period set in the splendor of Spokane’s historic churches, conducted by Maestro Eckart Preu. Celebrate pleasures of winter and the festive Christmas season with Bach, Vivaldi and more in December (December 8-9). Then, take a journey from Germany to England via Italy in the Baroque tradition with Handel, Corelli and more. Let the sights and sounds of the old world transport you (February 23-24). SPOKANE SYMPHONY cHAMBER Soirées SERIES

In the Marie Antoinette Ballroom of the historic Davenport Hotel. 
Musical elegance awaits in this up-close and personal chamber soirée evening. A mix of baroque, classical and contemporary music introduced and performed by various ensembles from the Spokane Symphony. Enjoy table seating with wine and light bites or be seated in the gallery of the Marie Antoinette Ballroom. FOX FAMILY SERIES 

Part of the Fox Presents Series at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox
The Fox Family Series returns with entertaining shows sure to delight children and adults alike. On Friday, Feb. 1, be mesmerized by Cirque Zuma Zuma, combining the mystique of Africa with the excitement of a theatrical cirque performance. On Saturday, April 6, lifetime professional physics demonstrator, David Maiullo, brings his scientific “magic” from the world of physics to the stage in That Physics Show.
